HOW A TOUR GUIDE SYSTEM ENHANCED COMMUNICATION IN NESTLÉ FACILITIES

Nestle has multiple product line manufacturing facilities in North America. Plant-Tours.com services dozens of them ranging from ice cream, water, pizza, prepared foods to animal feed and nutrition and baby food products. One example of the many Nestle plants Plant-Tours.com handles is the operation in Anderson, IN that produces Boost, Coffee Mate, Nesquik, Carnation, and Ensure consumer products.

What was the problem?

The Business Systems Manager at Nestle contacted the Tour and Training Consultant at Plant-Tours.com in need of an interactive tour guide system for executive and other VIP visits to the factory. They owned another system that had proven to be too fragile for their requirements and were interested in a new option that would allow all participants to converse and ask questions during the walk-through of this large operation.

What was the solution?

A free Demo Kit, including all options for any noise and comfort level desired, was sent to the customer for careful review and testing purposes. After the staff took the time they needed to evaluate the tour guide system products, they decided to order the Meeting/Training Two Way System including the MT-200 high noise, behind-the-head headset for their visitors and staff.

The patented MT-200 features high noise reduction with a slim profile and lightweight comfort for lengthy tours. Adjustable for any user, the MT-200 includes wipeable soft padded earpads for easy cleaning between uses with Plant-Tours.com’s exclusive Sanitation Station, which is included in every training and tour guide system order. Plant-Tours.com developed, designed, and invented this exclusive headset with feedback from many of our customers. They consistently told us that they could not find a lightweight, comfortable, and aesthetically appealing headset for their VIP guests.

What was the result?

After receiving the MT-200s the large, unattractive, and clunky, one-size-fits-all models offered by other vendors were no longer a consideration for Nestle. The MT-200 is ideal and “checks all the boxes” for customers and allows them to be comfortable, even on multi-hour production floor tours and meetings.’

Other Nestle facilities learned of the system through visits to the Anderson plant and purchased their own sets for multiple applications such as daily Gemba walks, new hire training, and staff communication throughout large and multiple building manufacturing campuses.
