What was the problem?
Smithfield Foods in Middlesboro, Kentucky, is a meat processing facility. They contacted Plant-Tours.com in need of a high noise-reducing communication headset system for their training and onboarding of new employees. Training occurs weekly, and they have 5 to 18 training classes every week.
What was the solution?

In addition to that, they chose to have the lockable finger push-to-talk so the trainers could speak without interruptions. When it’s time for Q&A, trainers can open the floor for questions with the press of a button. Smithfield Foods also purchased the multi-unit Charging Stations to manage everything within one storage area where they will charge and store all the equipment. They were particularly interested in the Plant-Tours.com exclusive Sanitizing Station, specifically to address COVID-19 precautions and new social distancing guidelines.
What was the result?
The Plant-Tours.com system allows Smithfield Foods to train in loud areas and maintain the six-foot distance buffer between trainers and trainees while facilitating all voice interaction and learning activities.
